FaceShot is a 3D capture system that combines a Fuji 3D and the software package.
With FaceShot anyone can capture a portrait and turn it instentanously into a 3D head that can be used in a variety of ways -
in 3D programs such as Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Photoshop CS3, Maya, Poser, Lightwave and many others that read the OBJ format,
for crystal etching output or to create 3D statues using 3D printing technologies. The new system uses a single, Fuji Finepix W1 stereo camera to take the dual images required to create the 3D face. The new camera eliminates the need for all of the hardware of the earlier system, such as the stereo-bar, the USB hub, the remote control, back-picture, thus making the system much more portable, faster and easier to set up. |
